Lil Blue Boo Hoodie

I love this hoodie pattern from Lil Blue Boo!  It was one of the first patterns I used when I was venturing into sewing with knits.  See my previous post HERE.  Ashley gives some nice tips for sewing with knits.  Now that I have my awesome serger, it is even more fun!

The pattern is really straight forward and is great for boys or girls.  You could even add some length and make it into a dress like Christine at From an Igloo did HERE.

It was definitely funny trying to have a photo session with two three year old very active boys.  A bit different from my girls who love to model.  So here goes…

I added an appliqued paw print to go with the doggie fabric.  The boys really like it.  They think that it’s one of Blue’s Clues!

I lined the hoods because the wrong side of the doggie print fabric was white and I didn’t want that showing when their hoods were off.

Here they are in their set from a couple of years ago.  I miss them being this little.  Sniffle Sniffle.

Wait boys…. come back!

Happy Sewing!

  1. I just bought that pattern. After seeing yours, I can't wait to whip one up. Your boys are adorable and I'm sad to say, the older mine get, the less cooperative they become. I'm in the market for a nice standing dummy.

  2. Your boys are so cute!! Love the hoodies...the paw print applique is such a fun idea.:)

  3. I love those! I'm not much of a sewer. Maybe one day! I dropped in from Craft Envy! I'd love for you to visit me at

  4. HOW cute!!!! LOVE the hoodies!!

  5. Hi! Visiting from Sundae scoop. Aww.. what a cute hoodie! And your boys did a good job modeling. They are too precious!

If you get a chance I would love for you to share this at my Friday link party going on now! :)

  6. So cute! I think you're boys did a great job modelling. I love making this kind of top for kids (where I live we call them a bunnyhug). If you're looking for a new place to share your sewing creations, come on over to Etcetorize. Party starts later tonight and we'd love to see you there!

  7. Awww, too cute! They're adorable and their hoodies are lovely!

  8. My mom also had twin girls and twin boys. (I'm one of the girls...) That's not all that common.

Super cute hoodies. The colors and pattern are fabulous. I'd love for you to link it up to our link party!
